3 patterns : WHY
1. what for ? : why
Q : We have x-ray machines, what for?
(What is the use of x-ray machines)
=> why did we invent x-ray machines.
==>we have x-ray machines because we need to see inside our physical body.
Q : You didn't eat dinner what for? ==> why didn't you eat your dinner?
A : I always don't eat dinner because I'm not hungry.
Q : you are sick why for? == > why are you sick?
A : I am sick.
Q : You have a laptop, what for?
A : I have a laptop because I need it for my presentation in group class.
Q : You made your homework what for?
A : because it helps me learn English more you.

Q : We drank soju, what for?
A : We drink alcohol because we hope to solve stress.

2. why + be verb + subject(human) + verb
=> why are you studying English? (correct)
=> why is English study (incorrect)
A : I am studying English because I want to work very well.
3. why + does/do/did + subject(human) + base form
=> Q : Why do you study English?
A : I need English to work very well
Q : Why did she leave home?
A : She left home because she wants freedom.
4. why + modals + subject(human) + base form
=> Q : why can't I study English?
A : I don't know grammar.
